On 19 October 2026, LLC IQUSION IT held a final training seminar for its clients as part of the IQusion Days cycle — ‘AI Governance and RAG: Enhancing Control Over Data, Security, and Ethics in Artificial Intelligence Use.’ During the event, modern approaches to implementing AI in corporate information systems, risk management, and control over intelligent algorithms were discussed.
The implementation of generative artificial intelligence expands opportunities for business process automation, document analysis, information retrieval, and decision support. At the same time, the use of AI in the corporate environment creates a number of new challenges related to the protection of confidential data, the accuracy of generated responses, the delineation of authority, and accountability for decisions made with the involvement of algorithms.
Therefore, technologies and organizational approaches that enable the use of artificial intelligence benefits without losing control over the enterprise's information resources are becoming increasingly important.
AI Governance: How an Organization Manages Artificial Intelligence
The key topic of the seminar was the concept of AI Governance — a system of principles, policies, and procedures that regulate the development, implementation, and operation of artificial intelligence within an organization.
Unlike standard software administration, AI management requires additional control mechanisms. The reason is the peculiarities of generative models, whose results are not always entirely predictable.
An effective AI Governance system includes several core components:
- Data Access Management. Defining the information that AI is allowed to use and restricting access to confidential corporate resources.
- Transparency and Controllability. The ability to track AI usage, analyze its performance, and establish accountability for relevant processes.
- Risk Management. Identifying potential errors, inaccurate responses, algorithmic bias, and other threats.
- Personal Data Protection. Compliance with requirements for confidentiality, lawful processing, and information security.
- Human Oversight. Retaining the ability for authorized employees to review, correct, and approve the results of intelligent systems.
For businesses and government organizations, implementing AI Governance allows for the establishment of unified rules for the application of artificial intelligence and ensures its compliance with internal information security policies.
RAG: How Artificial Intelligence Works with Corporate Information Sources
Special attention during the seminar was given to Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology — generating responses using information obtained from defined external sources.
Large language models traditionally form responses primarily based on knowledge acquired during training. Because of this, they may use outdated information or generate convincing but factually incorrect statements — a phenomenon known as AI "hallucinations."
RAG technology allows supplementing the language model's operation with up-to-date data from corporate knowledge bases, electronic documents, regulatory materials, and other information sources.
For example, when an employee asks a question about the company's internal regulations, the system first finds the relevant documents and then uses their content to formulate a response.
This approach has several advantages:
- Utilization of current corporate information without the need to retrain the language model after each document update.
- The ability to provide links to the original sources on which the response is based.
- Reduction of the risk of inaccurate information.
- Integration of artificial intelligence into existing corporate knowledge bases and document management systems.
- The possibility of applying information access rules according to user permissions.
However, the use of RAG alone does not guarantee the accuracy of responses or data security. This requires additional mechanisms for source verification, access control, and protection against manipulation of input information.
Human-in-the-loop: Human Involvement in Decision-Making
Another important topic of the seminar was the Human-in-the-loop (HITL) concept, which involves mandatory human participation at defined stages of the automated system's operation.
In practice, this means that artificial intelligence can analyze information, prepare documents, generate recommendations, and propose solutions, but the execution of critically important operations requires verification or approval by an authorized employee.
Specifically, AI can prepare a draft response to a citizen's inquiry, but before sending, the document is reviewed by the responsible official. Similarly, in business, an intelligent system may suggest changes to a contract, but their final approval remains with a human.
This approach is particularly important in processes related to finance, HR decisions, legally significant documents, and personal data processing.
Human-in-the-loop allows combining the speed of automated information processing with human professional responsibility, reducing the risks of uncontrolled actions by artificial intelligence.
Secure Implementation of AI in Corporate Information Systems
For organizations planning to integrate artificial intelligence into their business processes, it is important to consider AI Governance, RAG, and Human-in-the-loop not as separate technological solutions, but as interconnected components of a unified architecture.
AI Governance defines the rules for using intelligent systems and accountability for their performance. RAG provides the ability to access verified corporate information sources, and Human-in-the-loop allows for maintaining human oversight at critical stages.
The comprehensive application of these approaches helps organizations automate work with large volumes of information, increase labor productivity, and simultaneously mitigate the risks associated with the use of generative artificial intelligence.
The training seminar was part of LLC IQUSION IT's efforts to familiarize clients with modern technologies, architectural approaches, and best practices for the secure implementation of artificial intelligence in corporate information systems.
